I dont know aout any of you, but waiting for new equipmet, or in my case my first set up is worse than a 7 year old waiting for christmas.

I hear you man! The waiting is the hardest part! Although you will learn to be patient as a brewer since it is a necessity not just a virtue!

Microbrews help haha.

Waiting is hard too...

When you bottle your first batch, brew another (assuming you have bottles). When it's ready to bottle, brew another. Soon thereafter, unless you drink heavily, you will have a pipeline. Then, waiting isn't an issue.

What he said It is true once you have a good pipeline waiting is much easier

Pipelines are good. They allow you to condition the beer longer and see how it ages over time.

Last weekend I had my last two bottles of batches I bottled in late Jan and early Feb. Both had improved markedly.

Yup. When I started I was very frustrated with how long it took, and then I'd taste it and find it wasn't very good (maybe brewed too warm, maybe tried too soon). When I finally got 2 LBKs going at the same time (September), things started to get nice. Some people have 3 or more going at the same time. Some drink a lot When I brew, I brew two LBKs at once, and bottle both on the same day also.

For those of us that don't drink a lot (we drink 2 - 6 beers a week between us depending on Michigan Football season), you can still build a pipeline, and give yourself CHOICE. I did two at once from September until June (although I wasn't going every 3 weeks until January when I realized taking a week or two off between bottling and brewing didn't make any sense).

Eventually my pipeline grew to a dozen beers - it would have been a few more but I did some 5 gallon batches split between two LBKs. I got up to an inventory of around 10 cases (yikes!), and stopped - and now I'm down to 7 cases across 13 beers. The most of any beer I have now is just over a case of Moosedrool clone, followed by a case of Blue Moon clone. Others are smaller:
It is very pleasurable to have choices, but you also shed a tear as you get down to the end. I have over a year's worth of drinkable inventory if we don't share much , and will kick into brewing again in a week or two to replenish choices as they dwindle off (with new choices).

Well at last waiting for the equipment is over. I cleaned, sanitized and started my first batch today. I agree with the pipeline, my friends brew single 10 gallon batches of the same kind of beer. Thats alot of stout or what ever their recipe is that month. I choose the brew demon 3 gallon with this in mind to eventually be running 3 different recipe's at once giving me selections of brew to choose from. I am going to eventually even going to move to 2 or 3 of brew demon's 6 gallon conicals when they come out next year.

That sounds good, I know how you feel though I have 2 full LBK right now. When I bottle those, I will brew another 2 recipes, and need more bottles.

Oh the waiting game for ales is not too bad. The day you decide to take on brewing a lager, your patience will be tested to the max!

I filled 2 LBKs yesterday, but already today I was planning the next one.

I also have 2 (1) gallon carboys, I do cider and hard lemon/lime aid in so with my 2 brew demon 3 gallon kits and these I have fun. Right noe drinking the fruits of some labor, hard lemon aid with some Jim Beam. My version od a lynchberg lemon aid.

At last, bottled first batch from my LBC. Had to clean the lbc, and bottles so started another batch, and another honey blueberry mead.

I also took advantage of getting another brew demon conical, and 3 more recipes.
So I can run 2 different batches at the same time obtaing desired beer quanity with a wide variety to choose from.

Has any one brewed some of brew demons signature IPA, Im not a real big fan of IPA's but am open to listening. I do not like anyof the arrogent bastard IPA's at all too harsh for my palet.

Waiting game is over let the pipe line begin. Brewing my 4th batch now.
