Oxyclean Concentrate

Post by Whamolagan »

So my LBHS quit carrying PBW, and is selling oxyclean in its place at $4.99/lb. So a trip to target to get some oxyclean. My question to the collective is what concentration is everyone using? I finally have some beer to keg.

I don't use Oxyclean but I assume you are using the unscented version????
But, I did read this on another forum:
I use one 4 oz. scoop with 6 gallons of water to clean my 6 gallon Better Bottles. This gives me a 0.5 % by weight concentration recommended by the Better Bottle Co. I try to use approx. the same concentration for all my other cleaning, except for removing labels from bottles where I generally use a higher concentration.

I don't know what you mean exactly by concentration. I buy Oxyclean Free, and spiff it up with TSP.
