Dark Rum Beer?

Last night I needed a drink. (Nothing terrible happened)
So I went to the kitchen, spied a bottle of dark rum, and had an inspiration. I poured a healthy shot into the bottom of a pint glass, and topped it up with Belgian Christmas Dubbel -it was really good. The rum was Gosling's Black Seal, which has notes of vanilla from the oak aging. It is a sweet rum, dark sugar flavor mixed very well with the Dubbel. Now I'm thinking that I should make a recipe for next year that includes rum in the keg. Has anyone here added liquor to a brew?

I've added alcohol based extracts to beers (home made and/or not). Things like vanilla beans or herbs/spices soaked in vodka and then added post primary fermentation like a "dry hop".

I don't see why it would be any different then adding flavored rum or the like.

Works fine, just got to figure out how much to actually add to get the flavor you want.

Thanks Mash. Also the alcohol I like! I think I would use as little as possible to achieve the flavor.
