Boy there must be a lot of brewing or bottling going on lately. Not much activity on here.

What's everyone up to?

It's been too damn cold for me to brew. Ideally, I brew outside on the back patio, or I brew in the garage, which requires more schlepping of the equipment. But it's been well below freezing with a lot of snow so far. We've warmed up this past week, so that's a good sign. My brewing usually slows dramatically in the winter just because of the weather. I usually get back into in in March. So, the next open weekend day that I have with decent weather, and I'll have something going!!

I brewed this past weekend and took advantage of rare 70 degree weather in January though our normal highs are in the upper 50's. Winter doesn't slow me down much though the holidays sometimes get in the way. I brew outdoors too but under cover.

Medical problems had kept me from brewing since June and am limited to 5 lbs lifting till end of Sept. 2018. So gonna have to rely on help for a brewday.

That is why I'm really enjoying my new electric equipment, I brewed again yesterday in my basement, although it was kind of warm here yesterday for January.

Too bad we don't live a little closer Steve, I would enjoy helping you brew a batch and see your process. It's not that I can't still lift stuff but have almost totally got away from it on brewday with pumps and carts.

I brewed about three weeks ago, I'll keg that batch today. Like others, cold weather has kept me off the patio. I'm looking to split a ten gallon batch soon, or possibly just a five of lager.

Would love to do a hands on Borg Collaboration. Have a pump but still have the getting water out to the garage and into the kettle for heating mash water. Then getting the wort down the stairs into the basement to ferment is the other obstacle. Have Home Brew Club members that have volunteered to help.

Hey Borgagoogoos, I have 2 MrB sized batches to bottle on Feb.6th,and then have 4 more batches to brew before Spring hiatus. That will give me over 12 cases to plow into for the summer months when I don't brew b/c of temperature control problems. I'm the only imbiber here,so that is about a case a week,more than I usually drink,so I'll be all set to do some "Patio Recon" missions when it gets hot. Cheers

Hey Steve, you may not be able to brew, but you are still contributing. I kegged 5 gallons of your Traveling Irish Red today. The sample tastes great.

Every one of steve's beers are awesome. The man can brew.

Now there is a idea I could go for. Something like the Borg meet up that has been happening for a few years. I was big on a Chainsaw forum quite a few years ago, we would have a hook-up and bring our saws and equipment and all try them out and exchange ideas while helping the host cut his firewood and most of the time at least a few years worth......Good Idea................How many bedrooms you have steve? There is a lot of Borg members not to far of a driving distance from you...,

Be sure to bring some to Nashville. That was my first Irish Red and it was brewed specifically for the first trip to Nashville in 2015. Liked it so much that I brew it or try to brew throughout the year and try to always have on hand. Have 2 extra bedrooms Berryman!

I brew nearly every week, but don't post about it (that would be kind of obnoxious, now that I think about it). I do regularly update the condition of the brewery/pipeline in my sig, though.
