Sooo, I may have inadvertently poisoned some of you. And "inadvertent" applies to "some". (Jeff, you always knew you had it coming)
I clean my keg lines by flushing One Step through them after every keg. Tonight I switched to a flow control faucet, and noticed that the old faucet and shank had soft residue inside. Apparently the cleaner and hand pump isn't effective at the wide part of the system. More pressure might help, but it's easy enough just to take the taps off every time. The lines are visibly clear and clean, the out spout too. Those of you who tasted my brews in Nashville, or have tried it from beermail should probably see a doctor. Except Jeff, it's too late for him.
Really, it was just beer products. It smelled like beer, and dissolved instantly under the water faucet. Check your taps.

My lawyer will be contacting you soon!
I remove my taps each keg and flush the lines with line cleaner. In fact, the pump kit I have needs the tap to be removed to clean it. I also clean the ball lock connector after each keg change too.
Takes a few minutes but I’m assured of no blockages and a clean line.

Ever since Nashville I've had this weird cough, my eyesight is noticablly worse and my big toe has been slowly turning grey. Damn you, I knew there was something about you the minute I met you.

Your gonna have to try harder than that John. Over the years I've built up a resistance to Iocane powder and Soft Tap residue. :p

This isn't a great picture but I replaced my lines and took my taps apart in December and found the same slime.

I seem to recall a thread where I mentioned taking taps apart, and people responded like "I don't need to take no stinkin taps apart".

But you posted in another thread that you don't have any taps.

I do not. In this thread, people said how they didn't need to take them apart, or could not.

So, when you mentioned taking taps apart, whose taps are they?
The link needs editing, it just goes to the index page.

Link fixed.

A brewpub. Took apart 12 taps, cleaned lines, tapped kegs, hooked up CO2 / nitro mixer, hooked up beer FOB... Learned a lot.
