I didn't even think about beer on it's side having a greater surface area exposed to the air. That was a cool read.

Can attest to some beers tasting a lot better on tap from a keg vs. bottled or canned. Magic Hat #9 being one of them.

I almost never get a beer in a bottle (and never a can) when I'm at a bar or restaurant, I always ask what's on tap. If just BMC, then I resort to bottles or no beer.

Yup, thats one reason Tuesday has become date night since at the Bailey's by me all drafts are $2 including things like Two-Hearted and Breakfast Stout. I still get a kick when the waitress asks the people coming in if they want a Bud or Miller. They stopped doing that to us as I think word got around that we wanted to slap the first one that asked us that.

Agree on the always on tap when I am out as well. The only exception is if I am somethere that doesn't carry anything good on tap, then I make that the last time I visit that establishment.

So true on that one .#9 does even come close in the bottle compared to on tap. But most taste better on tap.
