I edited the post I thought it listed Brewing Clubs along with the winning names and entries but no. Anyway 3rd place for an Oktoberfest that I also entered as a Vienna Lager. Pretty close styles.

Congratulations!
I am going to try your method of keeping everything in the fermenting keg. I use the Clear Beer system and close transfer my hoppy beers. Your way is a lot easier and you said that beer is better. Sounds like a no brainer.

Yeah I say give it a shot for yourself. Saves a few steps and the beer benefits. If you use corny kegs for fermentation you can "cap" the fermentation right at the tail end of and carbonate naturally. It doesn't take much, a sounding valve helps. But even if its only a few psi at the end of fermentation that is a good start to carbonation and less co2 and time you will need.
