From Sierra Nevada:
Many of you have asked if we will be brewing a fundraiser beer to support Camp Fire relief efforts. The answer is a resounding “yes.”

We are proud to announce that we'll be brewing Resilience Butte County Proud IPA and donating 100 percent of sales to Camp Fire relief. In addition, we are also asking every brewery in America to brew Resilience and do the same.

I’m sending a letter to brewers across the country, inviting them to join us in a collaboration brew day on Tuesday, November 27. We are working with malt and hop suppliers to provide raw ingredient donations to all participating breweries and are asking those breweries to donate 100 percent of their sales, as well.

We know that the rebuilding process will take time, but we’re in this for the long haul. Our hope is to get Resilience IPA in taprooms all over the country to create a solid start for our community’s future.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your support. We're right here with you and we’ll get through this together.

- Ken
I've already seen many large breweries and tons of smaller regional breweries chime in via FB that they will participate.
It might be cool if you hear of breweries in your area participating to post them here.

I'll keep an eye out from my local breweries. I hope at least I can buy a six pack of the IPA!!!

Other breweries that people may have heard of that have already confirmed:
-Tioga Sequioa
-Herectic (Jamil's)
-Alvarado Street (my current fanboy brewery)

Plus countless other smaller breweries in the area.

Waiting to see if Stone and/or Firestone Walker participate, too.

I'm more than willing to participate in any way that I can. This should be getting more press than it is.

I don't buy a lot of 6 packs these days, but I'll buy some of these things if they show up on the shelves.

That hop combo has been around for a long time. It seems rather resilient to me.

That recipe looks pretty good to me, in fact, I just might brew it in support. I know it won't raise money for the cause, but I'll still buy some if I see it.

I would think they would make a simple recipe over a more complicated one. Their purpose here is to sell as much of this stuff as they can in order to raise as much money as possible. And a simple, proven, resilient recipe is the way to do it!!!

I like the combo. It's pretty much standard and I think everyone will have no problem getting stock of these hops. Why go different? This hop combo is California IPA to me.

Plus they are going to ask the grain and hop suppliers to donate also. I feel this simple grain and hop bill will help towards that goal. This is all about helping the fire victims, not about making a complicated beer.

For those interested, SN now has over 1,000 breweries on board to do this with many of them brewing yesterday for Giving Tuesday. Wow.

Here's the list.

John Sand had a great idea, too: It would be great if homebrew supply stores would sell kits for this so homebrewers could join in. Granted, we could easily take the recipe and make it - but the proceeds of those purchases wouldn't go to the cause, whereas kits could.

In any case, it's really heart-warming to see the support throughout the brewing community.

There are a number of local breweries on the list. If they can or bottle them, I just might buy from a few different breweries and do a side by side to see how close or different each brewer makes the same recipe.

I'd buy it and brew it if it becomes available somewhere - in addition to the donations already made.

For anybody interested, it looks like SN is also selling a t-shirt:

Every dollar Sierra Nevada receives from sales of the beer and sales of this shirt go directly to the Camp Fire Relief Fund, aimed at long-term community support. We are now accepting preorders for this shirt, which will ship in 3-4 weeks. Thank you for helping us rebuild our home.
Also noted on their Facebook page:"**ALERT: Due to overwhelming demand our site is struggling to keep up. We appreciate your patience and support!**"

Linky for shirts.
