Finally got the oak wood last night and worked on it today. Had enough for now and time for a couple beers.

Had some decent 45’s on the front but didn’t want to push my carpenter abilities and did a straight joint the back. No one will see it but me.

Built some metal hold down brackets for the back where the hinges use to hook.

TY all, I try. I enjoy building things and have done it many years, carpentry is not my favorite but can do it. If anyone wants to build a working keezer, it is way simpler then what I am doing. I'm just trying to show one way of doing it, and I have the time. You could easily put one together in less then a weekend that would work.

Berryman, that’s pretty sweet! You’re making quick work of the project. Are you going to stain & seal the oak?

Yes I will stain and clear it. I can't work on it today but tomorrow will take the front board back off and drill it for the shanks then going to glue all the joints when I reassemble then sand.

Lookin' good.
I have a lot of respect for those of you that are handy like this. I could likely do it with enough time, but I just don't have the confidence to do it (generally speaking).

Coming along on the project, the hard part is almost done. Letting the silicone dry for a few days and then going to put insulation around the collar, then on to installing taps manifold and tubing. I have enough stuff right now to get 2 working kegs going.

I have 10 ft. Of Antimicrobial PVC free tubing for each.

When this is done I will keep my current beer fridge also for boughten/bottle beer, home raised chicken eggs that I sell and overnight marinating for BBQ. Also the freezer top for hops and ice.
