Some of you may remember last January we adopted a dog named Nikki from one of my wife's customers who had died of cancer. Over the last few weeks Nikki had been sick and not feeling well. We had taken her to the Vet several times and she was on several medications and she seemed to be getting better. Last night she seemed to be breathing harder then was usual so this morning we took her in again. Xrays showed that she had a build up of fluid in her chest and abdomen that was making it very hard to move air in and out.
Long story, short is we had to say good bye after nine short months! Absolutely devistated that I lost my buddy after such a short time. The worst part is that we still have to tell our daughters.
Worrying can spoil the taste of beer more then anything else! ~ Charles Papazian
I know how hard it is for you right now as I had to put my beloved Boxer down on the same day my mom died of cancer. I just say to myself that they went to Heaven together.
Telling the girls will be tough I'm sure.
I am thinking of you during this very difficult time.
