Which Inkbird temp control should I get?

I watched a video where a guy turns an old mini-fridge into a fermentation cooler using an Inkbird controller, but he doesn't specify a model number. I see there are several models - which one would you recommend?

Or is there something you think is clearly better that's around the same money or less? Of course the first priority is to end up with decent beer, I'd also like to minimize expenses supporting this BrewDemon that I got for free.

I knew I'd be glad I hung onto this old mini-fridge!

Thanks!

They're all very good and reliable units but I have the wifi version which I think is the 308 model. You can certainly get by without the wifi but there have been times when the wifi version came in handy for me.

I use a Johnson Controls A419. Not sure how it compares to the cost or performance of an Inkbird though. There are quite a few options, just Google temperature controllers for brewing and you can read up on what’s out there.

I use #308 Inkbird, I'm happy with it. I also use a heat belt in my ferm fridge.

I have 2 inkbird ITC-308's. one on my kezzer and one for fementing. mine aren't the wi fi version and could see how that could be nice but not needed.. A little tricky to set up but once you get the programming figured out, pretty simple and trouble free.

Thanks - is the basic idea that you can monitor and adjust it remotely?

With the wifi version, yes. Though I can say I've not had the need to do that too often but it's great when you want or need to. These things are very simple and just work!
