How about a small gift to the Borg forum?

Guys and girls, beer geeks and aficionados, and everybody else----- while we're getting gifts for those we care about, how about a small token of appreciation to Leigh-borg for the forum he generously and continuously takes care of out of his pockets? It doesn't have to be much, every amount helps. The PayPal link is
http://paypal.me/leighmcb.
Full transparency, I'm donating right after I post this.
Also, I'm reposting what Leigh posted more than a year ago for other ways to help:
Thanks everyone for even considering a donation. I realize that everyone has bills to pay and by no means do I want anyone to donate if you can't justify it or if it's not financially possible for you.
If you still want to contribute and help out without sending money directly you can use any of the following options.
1. Clicking on the ads that are on this site can help a lot since it sends a small kickback to BeerBorg for every click.
2. If you shop on Amazon at all go to the BeerBorg Marketplace link first and shop from there and BeerBorg will get a kickback for anything you buy just by using that link. It doesn't need to be the actual product that sent you to Amazon in the first place.
3. BeerBorg apparel is still available to purchase. I haven't updated any of the designs since the last push but I will get a few bucks for anything you end up purchasing from there.

It's there a suggested, recommended, requested donation amount?
Or an approximation of the annual cost of running the site?
I remember once, he posted how much more was needed to pay the hosting fees that year, but that was some time ago.

I usually give around my join anniversary. My guideline is the cost of other brew sites, like HomeBrewTalk or Brewer'sFriend subscriptions.

Give what you feel you can and what this forum is worth to you. No gift is too small and would be appreciated.
John Sand's suggestion is a good one too!

I'm bringing this back up for a couple of reasons.
My mom died shortly after I posted, so it got lost in the shuffle.
Also, there are a lot of new brewers who've recently joined. Some of them might want to contribute.
The last time I chipped in, I asked what the shortfall was and that was what I kicked in.
I don't pay to subscribe to any online forums, so I have no baseline.

paypal the only way to pay?

I guess I get $5 a month worth of entertainment from the forum, so I used that as a baseline.
To add to Herb's question, PayPal tracks on a surcharge. Many banks and credit unions have banded together to create zelle, which is not only free, but usually immediate.

Thanks for asking for considering donating. I also have Venmo & Google Pay. I can post the links here if those would be an option for you or others to use.
Is there another payment method you'd prefer to use?

Thank you for your generous contribution! It is greatly appreciated as is your participation in the forum.
As for PayPal, when using my PayPal.me link and paying as a friend or family there's no surcharge for me or the sender.

I got charged a small fee. Maybe it's because it's tied to a credit card instead of a bank account.

I finally managed to get my hands on one of those new two-gallon conical fermenters BeerBorg makes. It was my birthday recently, and a close friend of mine surprised me with this gift. And I had just been thinking about one for a long time. My first impression was delighted with this fermenter! It looks new, the materials are solid, the capacity is excellent, and it feels like this equipment is not a toy and can be used to brew beer. Even though the BeerBorg fermenter is an order of magnitude more expensive than the Mr.Beer Keg fermenter, I am convinced that it has great potential, thanks to a good idea and high quality. I want to give him something meaningful for his birthday in two weeks. Although a small gift of a set of exclusive alcohol in a beautiful basket ordered at
https://www.jetgiftbaskets.com/ already exists.
