Hi all

I think I screwed the pooch on this one. I got a kit from from brewdemon when I ordered it on the website it's says 1 can for 1 gallon of beer. I started making it I read the label wrong and thought it said for 2 gallons of beer.
I guess drinking beer while making it not a good idea.

So I used 1/2 the can to make the beer it's been in fermentation for about 2 1/2 days

Should I just dump it because it's going to be to weak ?

Oh and what can I do with the last 1/2 of can add it to another batch?

That's a challenge. It would ferment the other half of the LME (liquid malt extract) if it dissolved, but that might be very slow. I think I would boil a quart of water, turn it off, add the remaining extract, stir it up, cool it to room temperature (put the covered pot in a pan of icewater) and gently pour it into the fermenter.

I couldn't do a quart of water it would have over filled the 1 gallon fermentation tub.

So I boiled 1 cup of water then stirred in leftover LME with a spatula I sterilized with alcohol

I cooled it down to 78° instructions say under 85° then I stirred it into the fermentation tub with the already fermenting brew and yeast hope it works..

It should work. One of the things I do with some strong Belgian beers is ferment a lower gravity wort first, and then add all of the sugar that goes in later during fermentation. That works well, always.
