Ever see a truck do a wheelie? I always measured and knew how high my loads were, seen this too many times.

Frigin ouch! That is amazing how many trucks and trailers got wrecked on just one bridge! Wow!

There is an ian old train bridge near where I lived when I was in High School that was hit frequently. I never understood it until I was following a truck along one of the official trucking routes through downtown and they have you turn on to the road and go under the bridge. Well the first sign you could see along that route was the one maybe 10 or 15 ft in front of the bridge. Ya they had it labeled along the road the bridge crossed but since the commercial traffic wasn't allowed to use that road unless making a delivery on it they never saw it.

They finally put up signs there was a low bridge ahead on the route but I never understood what the city was thinking when they chose that route for commercial trucking or what a driver was supposed to do if their vehicle was over the height restriction when they weren't supposed to use other streets.

What happens a lot (and I suspect the bridge in these videos is one of these instances) is that the road is re-surfaced and no one bothers to change the signs even though they lost three or so inches it height.

The ones I funny particularly funny were the guys pulling the fifth-wheel campers. It looked like they didn't even know they had lost their air-conditioning units.

That is exactly what happens! Every summer, when crews are re-surfacing roadways, the road gets a little higher. Then, next spring (or never), the sign crews update the signs on the overpasses. I used to work at a truck/trailer repair company and we would replace the 'sardine can' lids of trailers peeled back from low overpasses all the time!

There is a section of I-65 going through downtown Indy that is now closed for 8 weeks while the road surface below several bridges is being lowered by to stop the bridges from being repeatedly hit. Major disruption of traffic!

Man... that intersection should just have a sign that says "No Trucks".
