Well poop, I just tried to order another Grain Father and the discount code is not valid for it. Full price is $699, still worth it but, was only interested if their 20% off code applied to it. Oh well, guess I'll blow it on my motobike accessories... LOL

I’m looking at getting the Anvil Foundry 10.5 gallon for $577 with the circulation pump kit.

I'm still rocking my Gen2 Mash & Boil. Best $250 I ever spent for what I've gotten out of it with no fuss.

What's the gen2? I remember an epic thread when the mash and boil first started selling for 250. I've got a m&b, but don't know if it's gen2. What's the difference?

The m&b is what first made me brave enough to go all grain. I'm currently back to my roots, doing small batches with prehopped extract, but that's mostly because I don't trust myself lifting large quantities. I'm also not sure i can deal with the kegerator, and i don't want to try bottling 5 gallons. I'm going to tap a pinter (1.5 gallons) made with a mr beer refill on Saturday.

But hey. Beer is beer. Right?

Just had the Foundry delivered yesterday. Just in time for my birthday! I did some assembly today, read the manual, and heated it up to get a feel for the controls. Hopefully I spend some more time with it tomorrow. I'll post more once I get more hands on.

Gen1 didn't have the clamps for the lid. Gen 2 has them, but is otherwise is the same.

I've been enjoying putting my beer into the Pinters and serving from them. They fit nicely in the fridge, are easy to fill and move around, and now that I am priming them properly they are pouring nicely, just have to be careful and gentle with the first couple of pours to avoid lots of foam.
