I've been in a break from brewing for a while due to an accident. I think i posted about it but un case i didn't, i was riding my bicycle and a truck ran a stop sign. Not much fun.

Take my word for it. Don't try it to see for yourself.

At some point before the accident, i got a good deal on mangrove Jack m44 yeast. My nephew remembers me telling him about the deal, but doesn't remember more than that.

I've googled it and it seems like a good yeast.

Does anybody know how to interpret the date code? It's 709601

I'm not really concerned too much because it's been frozen (except when they shut off my electricity for non payment when i was in the ER).

I'm just curious.

I'm a little late to this but I'm sure it's fine to use. General Shelf Life for Dry brewing yeast typical shelf life of 2–3 years from production if stored properly. If you want to make sure to get the most of it you can put it in a starter to give it a little boost before hand.
