Hey guys,
I'll be in Dallas on Monday and I'm looking for a place to grab a few local beers, can somebody suggest a few places?
Google returns only a couple of breweries (Deep Ellum and Tye Dye Brewing Co).
Deep Ellum looks "ok" and I can't any pages on Tye Dye that show their beers so I figure I'd look for advice from my brewing brothers and sisters.
Good brewery/brewpub near DFW?

Deep Ellum Brewing Company makes a couple of fine beers. I'm actually thinking about taking a tour there on Saturday. I don't believe, however, that they are actually able to sell on location at this time. I'm not completely certain on that though. I have seen quite a few of their beers at various places around town. Even "BJs Brewhouse" offers some of the Deep Ellum beers at their locations here. I'm not familiar with Tye Dye Brewing, so I'll have to see if I can locate some info on that. There's a Gordon Biersch, but they only carry their own brews. Rahr & Sons Brewing Company in Ft. Worth is supposed to be pretty good also. Haven't been to that one yet either.
How long are you going to be in town? Just out by the airport or somewhere near downtown?

I'm landing Monday at around 2:30 and may end up with a client for dinner/drinks.
Meetings Tuesday morning from 8-3 then right back to the airport so very little down time.
Thanks for the input. I don't mind hitting up a brewpub if they have local stuff available like you said BJs Brewhouse does. I know that chain (we have them out here) so i was hoping to find something more local but beggars can't be choosers, right?

If you're near downtown Dallas, look for "The Ginger Man". A great little pub that has lots of brews, many on tap. http://dallas.gingermanpub.com/ If you're up near North Dallas and the Addison area, look for "The Flying Saucer" http://www.beerknurd.com/stores/addison/
Both are great places and serve many of the local breweries offerings. Also, down in the Deep Ellum district near downtown are lots of places who serve brews from the Deep Ellum Brewing Company.

Thanks! Looks like The Ginger Man has a few good options.
