Hey Gang,
Just when you think Brewing season has returned,Mother Nature, throws one at you.A week ago I brewed a modified Mr. Beer Bavarian wheat, and a Modified BrewDemon,Nut Brown ale.The temperature was a constant 70 degrees in my brew room. They were both bubbling along nicely,so this past Tuesday,I brewed up a Mr. Beer Aztec, and American Lite, both modified and wouldn't you know it ? ..The temps outside go back up into the 80's,which raises the inside temps to about 79-80ish.I don't have AC,and did not want to run out and buy 4 coolers,so I guess if the Saf-05,and the wheat yeasts want to they can add some different tastes to my brews.I'm the only consumer,so I'll drink them anyways, but Ratz !lol :(

it also works to wrap them in wet towels. The evaporation process will help keep your LBKs cool

+1 when I was brewing on the shelves of the beer closet I would put the LBKs on a tray, cover with a towel and saturate with refrigerated water and put a frozen ice pack under the towel.

The temps stayed around 66F that way.

For the ones that already heated up you might get some fusel and some off flavors from yeast depending on how many days they had been fermenting before the heat rose.

Those beers may need extra conditioning time to mellow out.
