BrewDemon’s Big Demon is almost here
Ever since BrewDemon started just over 2 years ago they have been trying to push the envelope when it comes to small batch extract brewing, with the introduction of the 2.5 gallon Little Demon conical fermenter which gave small batch a more professional look and feel over the “Little Brown Keg” that many people perceived as a “toy” and “not really a home brewery system”. BrewDemon’s contributions to small batch brewing has influenced changes across the industry including it’s nearest competitor Mr. Beer. has actually introduced a new form factor for it’s 2 gallon fermenters that it sells as an […]

So, you want to start brewing your own beer?
For years I had always thought about how cool it would be to brew my own beer. To be able to reach into the refrigerator and grab a bottle of beer hand it to a friend or relative and say, “try this, I made it” and watch their faces as they take the first sips of the wonderful elixir that I created. But I always seemed to have something else to do, I was always “too busy” working or raising my family to get into brewing! The fact was I was afraid to start something that was either too complicated and/or too expensive and have it turn out like crap. Ahh, if I only knew then what I know now I could have been brewing beer and enjoying the hobby of brewing a lot sooner.

Review: Brewing with the Demon
You would think that a review such as this would be easy to write. I mean really, these are extract beer recipes, how complex can they be? There in lays the problem, there is no complexity! There really aren’t a lot of details to discuss and talk about! The brewing is simple and it has easy to follow instructions that make the whole process quick and easy, so I could pretty much end it right here and tell you to come back once the beer has conditioned and I’ve had my first taste. BUT, I think that I can ramble […]

Review: BrewDemon Conical Fermenter (3 gallon)
I was finally able to get one of these new 2 3 gallon conical fermenters that BrewDemon is producing. There has been a lot of speculation and anticipation from much of the home brew community, at least the ones that I frequent about this new fermenter. There seems to be a lot of questions and hopefully I will be able to answer most of them here! Does Size Really Matter? One of the first thing I noticed about this thing was it’s size! It really seemed to be quite a bit larger then the Mr. Beer LBK, and there is a […]

A Closer Look At BrewDemon
After many months of delays for a variety of reasons BrewDemon finally launched it’s product line on December 11th and started accepting orders! This is a bigger deal then you might think since they are basically re-introducing the beloved malts that were abandoned by Mr. Beer when Australia based Coopers bought out the company. The BrewDemon Malts are produced by Maltexo in New Zealand and are for the most part the same as what was once offered by Mr. Beer. There are however a few changes that make these products unique to The Demon Brewing Company. The obvious change of […]
