Re: Chrismas buy

AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH.... Now you did it. You had to do it did you? I've avoided these things because I didn't want a big fermenter. Re: Chrismas buy

I have a thermowell I currently use and there's only 1 hole.
Is that lid too thick to cut a hole in without consulting a professional?

Re: How much have you brewed in 2015?

I brewed a Double IPA on the day before my birthday and it was not so great.
Haven't done squat all year. Between buying a house, packing and unpacking, I really haven't had any inspiration.

Re: Where do you put your probe?

Resurrecting all these posts is fun. When i bought the Demon conical I kept the probe taped to the side, buffered from the ambient with a piece of Styrofoam. I was never really happy with that the more I read that the interior of the conical is where the greatest heat is contained. I cut a hole in t...

Re: DIY Home Brew Controller ?

I was also looking into the Inkbird brand controller for doing Ales during winter. Another option other than the light/ paint can if you're fearful of light is a reptile ceramic heater http://www.amazon.com/Floureon-Ceramic-Infrared-Emitter-50W/dp/B00RGNIPBU/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1441063477&...

Re: Dual 120V Recirculating eBIAB Build

Question about the recirculating wort coming in through the top, does it go below the waterline or is it being sprayed out over the mash?

Edit: just saw the other thread about using some sort of return arm that runs below the water line.

Another refugee assimilated.

Hey everyone, Although I registered back in 2013, I never actually posted here or officially introduced myself. I've been brewing since 2011 when I joined MBF, brewing from the canned kits first, then moving onto my own recipes using DME and finally moving to all-grain BIAB a few years ago. Glad to ...

Re: Anyone From MrBeerFans Migrating Over

Glad I decided to check MBF today.
Like I wrote in my goodbye post over there, this is like coming back home to find your childhood neighborhood has been torn down in favor of a GAP and a Starbucks.
