Ok I'll be brewing the Landbier tomorrow. I couldn't use 33 as planned we sold out last week so I went with Munton's plain ole brewers yeast.

Re: Craigtube
I've been watching Craig's videos for many, many years. I don't always agree with everything he says and does but he's very humble, down to earth and kind of like a next door neighbor who's a bit kooky! I've posted many times on some of his videos and think some people treat him poorly because he u...

Re: Warm and Cold Conditioning
Thanks. even soup or chili that improves in the fridge overnight. Oh well temp ain't it. True, but they don't depend on a live thing that has a lot to do with the flavor. In chili's case it more a matter of allowing the different flavors time to blend and (assuming chili "con" what ever) ...

Re: Warm and Cold Conditioning
Just spit balling here. Perhaps the basement was just cool enough to require a slightly longer conditioning period. We live in very different climates so I have no knowledge on how cool or warm y'all have been.

Now since starting to manage Home Brew of Columbus when I get a brewer with no experience, I start 'em on HMEs and advise they watch Craigbrew's &...

An...Adventure?
I was going to post this in the I deserve a homebrew thread but I couldn't find it. So...on my way home tonight my van (got a KIA Sedona) started to fishtail at 70(WTF?). Now I'm not a man given to panic, but I won't deny there was a big ole adrenalin dump, heart sped up and the "speed in my ve...

Re: RCE RayYankee & jimjohson
Very interesting choice. I was recently looking up Kellerbier as someone I know received some real German beer and two of them were Kellerbiers. One lighter and one Dunkel. This article sums up what I read about the styles. What I found most interesting is that it has crossed my mind to do a real O...
