Re: Basement Brewery Build
Framing done and about half the electrical. Planned out the rest of the electrical for lights and a few dedicated outlets than its inspection time. Got some of the other things in as well including the inline duct motor which is super sexy!! IMG_3660.JPG IMG_3661.JPG IMG_3658.JPG IMG_3657.JPG IMG_36...

Re: Free Bud Lite if Philly wins teh Super Bowl?
Wish that was the case for me. For some reason recently I can have 2 of my beers and wake up with a mild headache from it. My wife says I need to drink more water earlier. Getting older sucks!!

Re: Basement Brewery Build
Was this space in your home originally plumbed for a bathroom? Yes it was. It will help also having a drain d...

Re: Basement Brewery Build
Thanks Screwy for the offer. I was able to find a hood similar to the FastKitchen hood promoted on The Electric Brewery for a much better shipping cost. Also going with an inline 8" exhaust fan which will give me the ability of getting upwards of 750 CFM, which will be more than enough power. G...

Re: RISky Business (Looking for answers!?!)
Louie, With my new project in my basement going forward I have been diving in to PH and water profiles a little more. I just can't fathom a scale being off by that much. Where was the batch made? If he has made the batch before with his water with no issues did he make it at a different location wit...

Extract is a great way to learn and even continue to make great beer. Have friends who mak...

Damn! Their brown ale is one of my favorite. Like Rick pointed out, just poor business planning. How can you make business model that relies on 20 years of consistent growth? The answer is right here.... you can't. People ask if I every want to move up to the big breweries. My answer, "at this ...

So it is finally upon me! I started out about 3 months ago working with a contractor to build out an unfinished room in my basement for brewery. Just checking in. Had my hip surgery a few days ago. These pain meds are top notch! As long as I don't fall behind on the pain meds the pain is tolerable. 2 weeks of misery ahead but looking forward to the end result.
