MoreBeer "Learn to Brew" sale

Post by mashani »

Click link. Lots of stuff 50% off. Some of it is running out quickly, but right now you can still buy things like 5 gallon AG kits for American Red/Brown or California Common beers for $11-$12 bucks. Free shipping at $59 as normal.

Those kits are quite a deal. If I didn't have so many hops and so much grain, I'd grab 1 or 2.

Those are great prices. No time to really shop right now, but I'll look again tomorrow and see what's left.

TY mash for the post. I was going to put an order together, but most everything that wasn't sold out when I clicked on said on back order. I was thinking the American IPA, and the Walter Wheat and a couple others plus yeast to put me in the free shipping. but can't find what I want.

Don't pass up the unicorn fart pale ale! It comes with that edible glitter.

Not for me, but I'm stopping in there on Thursday after work for some supplies. If they have anything left that catches my eye I might buy something.

My guess is that they only had a limited amount at the sale price and/or these might be date sensitive.
Can you get the sale price if you accept a backorder or do they not allow that?

I was wondering that and not really in a hurry for most anything I was thinking of, except for the IPA. A friend of mine that has helped me brew before want's to brew with me again on my new system and has not seen it done this way and he likes IPA and that looked like a good basic one to do and split with him.

I have no idea what is left or if any of it is worth it, but I should point out for future reference that MoreBeer kits come with all the ingredients separately packaged including the grains unlike say AIH where it is all crushed together and thrown into a big bag.

So they are very easy to use to make other beers out of if you don't want to make the beer that they are intended to be. IE you base malt will be just that, your specialty malts are all in their own individual packaging (IE 8oz of honey malt and 8oz of C40 and 2oz of chocolate or whatever).

That's pretty much my plan with what I got.

I did order today, not much left at them prices now, but was a good deal. I needed a lot of other stuff anyways to get restarted brewing now that the weather is not as nice.

I opted not to buy anything other than the small batch of grains I needed yesterday. It would be too tempting to brew something when I need to be resting my shoulder and not lifting heavy items. SO, for once, I made an adult decision.
