Live with Kelly and Ryan: Homebrewing
My wife watches the Kelly Ripa Ryan Seacrest show on ABC in the morning. It's not bad. Today there is a young woman brewing on the set this morning.
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.
Never mind, there it is.
Re: Live with Kelly and Ryan: Homebrewing
If I had to watch those shows everyday, I'd shoot myself. Daytime tv is the worst but at least they put something on that would interest me. Did she know what she was doing?

Re: Live with Kelly and Ryan: Homebrewing
Yeah, she was good. She said she'd been brewing for eight years, did a step by step BIAB. It was TV style, meaning that there was an example of each step: kettle, carboy, bottling bucket and bottled carbed beer.
Kelly and Ryan is not something I would ordinarily watch, but it's way better than my wife's favorite shows at night. I don't want to talk about it.

That only happens when you brew a pee-can porter.The_Professor wrote:Did she say "BAM!!!" when she threw in the hops?John Sand wrote:.......It was TV style, meaning that there was an example of each step: kettle, carboy, bottling bucket and bottled carbed beer........

I seen this on reddit, watched it on youtube, and then passed it on to my wife as she usually watched Live with K&R. I thought it was pretty good, basically she walked them through a quick brew day, had them drain the grain bag, add the hops, help with bottling, etc. Displayed different stages of the process, and the ingredients.

Re: Live with Kelly and Ryan: Homebrewing
Donna showed me the segment online, she is from a Brooklyn NY based homebrew club, Brewminaries. Was good to see that homebrewing was represented rather correctly for a TV talk show.

I agree that was a good segment. Not overly technical or too complicated, and presented in a way that should get some people interested.
Cheers to a job well-done.

I think it's a good thing, it will generate interest in brewing.
