I like the Homebrew Alley competition. It's local (sorta; it's held in Brooklyn. Someday I may attend). It's gotten me two ribbons, and it's the first competition I ever entered.
It's pretty big, too, with upwards of 700 total entries.
So I've already registered, and today I brewed my Sunbonnet Lemon Wheat. I like this beer; it's a refreshing season beer ideal for summer. I've never entered the Fruit Beer category, but I figured why not.
Honestly, I don't expect to get a podium spot. There will no doubt be more sophisticated entries. I'm more interested in what the judges think of my base recipe and the lemon zest addition.
Wish me luck! Competition is the weekend of 2/7/20.
