Start canning your homebrew

Post by Kealia »

I just got an email from More Beer and they are selling a home canning machine for just $450.00.

Cans run about $0.48/each.

Who's going to be first to buy one?

Definitely not me. Got the same email this morning. I follow a few guys on youtube who have one and one said he liked kegging better. Me too!
I'll save my money for hops.

Not me either, I really don't care for canned beer but will drink some. I will buy Founders All Day IPA in cans and like that beer, and if a little low on money will buy Pabst, Genny Cream Ale or sometimes just regular Busch for beer to go. I do think it is good that a homebrewer has that option, but more then I would want to spend on something I don't care for that much anyways. I am sure it will be a big seller though as other brewers and especially some newer ones that don't seem to mind how much they spend on the newest and latest things. I see it all the time on a FB forum I am on.

I can't see spending that much for the device and being stuck adding something like $12 of cost to every batch of beer for cans.

I keg and sometimes bottle, depending on the beer. I can't see any benefit to canning, personally.
