How much have you brewed in 2022?

Post by TonyKZ1 »

Since nobody started this topic yet for this year, and I made beer today, Jan 1, 2022. Here it is:

Thread guidance as per previous posts of this type: create one (and only one) post and continuously edit it throughout the year, adding your ongoing brewing adventures. Generally people add the date, style of beer, size of batch, and any other stats or info you would like to keep, along with a running total at the end of the thread. That's about it...

* Jan 21 - Rauchbier - 1 gallon [Batch #113]

RUNNING TOTAL - 1 gallons

I do both extract and all-grain batches. Usually I brew customized 3-gallon recipes, as I have a 3-gallon fermenter and 3-gallon keg. About 8 batches per year. Occasional 1-gallon stovetop experimental batches, for recipes that I don't want to have drink several gallons of.
Just passed 11 years since starting the hobby with a Mr. Beer kit, received Christmas 2010.

Previous totals:
2021- 17 gallons
2020 - 10 gallons (I moved mid-year and had to suspend brewing activities for a while, hence the low output)
2019 - 22.5 gallons
2018 - 24 gallons
2017 - 25 gallons
2016 - 33 gallons
2015 - 36 gallons
2014 - 40 gallons
2013 - 40 gallons
2012 - 34 gallons
2011 - 19.5 gallons (start of hobby)

2022:
#121: Citra Rye IPA... err... IPL - 5 gal - Ferment 1/30/22
#122: Smoked ETF Saison - 5 gal - Ferment 5/29/21

2010: 77.5 gallons on 33 brews
2011: 54 gallons on 21 brews
2012: 38.5 gallons on 15 brews
2013: 22.5 gallons on 9 brews
2014: 24.5 gallons on 9 brews
2015: 18.5 gallons on 8 brews
2016: 9.5 gallons on 4 brews
2017: 12 gallons on 5 brews
2018: 9 gallons on 3 brews
2019: 35 gallons on 7 brews
2020: 10 gallons on 2 brews
2021: 10 gallons on 2 brews
2022: 10 gallons on 2 brews thus far

So far in 2022, I have had ingredients since holiday break, but work has been a nightmare. If you have heard about the Kronos ransomware attack, it has turned my job upside down in attempts to pay people. Hoping for normalcy and a brew day in the next few weekends... Have ingredients for a rye IPA and plenty of grain for two more brewdays.

For a year to year, I’d have to perv my log books. On average, I do about 100 gallons. And a wee more if I can get the War Department to do a few…
