Brewed a 'very' pale ale with only 2 row, munich and pilsner with citra and galaxy. Should be about 5.5% and hopefully, very tasty. I don't use Galaxy much but that might change. The aroma was definitely noticeable.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
Brewing up a dark Wheat ale today. First batch in probably 6 months, feels nice to be back at it, should have added more rice hulls though... I hate stuck sparges... LOL. I have a Honey Rye Cream Ale (RCE) and a Munich Hellus (Half RCE) in line. Been too long since I've brewed, have tried for several months to find the time but hell, when your retired.... I work too damn much with too little free time..... LOL
Life is short, live it to it's fullest!
Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
Forgot to post over the weekend that I brewed up a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale close - currenting fermenting. In about 2 weeks, I'm going to tackle a Pliny the Elder clone, just because.

That sounds dangerous. Send it to me for proper disposal.Kealia wrote:In about 2 weeks, I'm going to tackle a Pliny the Elder clone, just because.
Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
I brewed an "Imperial Mild". Yeah. Believe it or not, such a thing existed in 1840s.
Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
I bottled this, it tasted wicked, it's going to be awesome. It was a scaled down version of this, but I used Briess mild malt, 100% Goldings, and did a shorter boil, so 90/60/30 as the additions.

I brewed the MoreBeer Bock recipe. I thought I was making the Maibock, but I picked the wrong instruction sheet forgetting that I purchased both of their bocks.
Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
Bottled the MoreBeer Bock, and brewed Gary Glass's "Mia Wallace Maibock".
They will be very different beers actually, so I don't mind that I "dopple bocked".

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
This past Saturday, I brewed a Czech Pils. The first time I've brewed in almost 10 months. Everything came out great too, I was fully expecting for something to be off since it's been so long, but it all worked out.

Kegged the Czech Pils last night. This weekend I'll be brewing the Gerst Amber recipe that I somehow was able to get my hands on a few years back.

I'm just waiting for my Firestone Walker Pale Ale clone to finish so I can crash it, dry hop it, and carb it up.
In other news, I kegged the blonde ale I brewed for the office and put together a kegerator yesterday that our office admin bought so we can have beer in the office. Took the first pour yesterday and everybody is happy!

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
I bottled the Mia Wallace Maibock earlier this week.
Today I brewed a SMASH IPA, 14# of RedX and 8oz of New Zeland Kohatu hops. 1/2oz FWH, 2.5 oz added at various points in the boil, 3oz @flameout, and I'll dry hop the rest.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
Sounds delish. My last RedX wasn't so good. I do have some Proximity Red that I want to try.
I brewed up a 11 gallon batch of a pale ale a bit like Sierra Nevada. It's not that recipe but it's for 2 separate up and coming crawfish boils and I wanted something that regular beer drinkers might like. Kept it simple and lightly hopped with only Cascade and Centennial. 2 row, C40 and a little carapils.
1 fermenter has Imperial Flagship and the other, Wyeast American Ale II that should be a little fruitier.
Friday I kegged another Pale Ale that should be hoppier with Idaho 7, Strata and Mosaic. Fermenter sample tasted good!

Viking also makes a red malt, but I've not tried it yet.
