Retirement sell off of equipment

Post by mtsoxfan »

Hi all,
It's been a few years since I have been an active member. Retired, moved to the NEK in Vermont, living a peaceful, quiet, restful pace of life. I have been brewing though, just not as much, as friends/neighbors to enjoy the fruits of my labor are few and far between. It's been a great 17 year run.

I have been having some health issues, the quantity of homebrew that I enjoy has gone down to the point where I no longer have the need to brew.

I am selling off my inventory, from a basic set up, to the whole kit and kaboodle. We all know that the price to jump in is more than we could ever get when selling off, like woodworking tools etc.

I have a roughly 30"x48" rolling cart that hold my turkey fryer burner, thick wall/bottom 8 gal, 10 gal kettles with ball valves. Takes up a small footprint in garage. A raised "bench" that houses the mash tun with ball valve, and transfer pump and hoses. I have 6 used soda kegs, replacement seals for kegs, hop mesh basket, 5 gal stamped steel pot "from first batch" homemade stir plate with 2L flask, hydrometer, stainless steel 50' wort chiller, a copper 20' water pre chiller, some BLC, Star San, keg lube, 64 oz. pump spray bottle with adapter for running cleaner through keg beer lines, various hoses, seals, co2 cartridges and adapter for taking a keg to a party without main co2 setup, brew in a bag used in mash tun, hop bags, as well as a few other items. Oh, also a hand and tower bottle cappers. Comes with books, books, books, Charlie P beginners guide, hops, advanced brewing, etc. etc. etc.

Looking for a local buyer who wants to jump into a turnkey set up, avoiding the costs that most of us went through. It's still winter up here, but warmer weather is coming, so will pictures. Really not sure how to price, I want to sell all, give someone a great deal, but not give it away. Open to suggestions, I will make a decision and edit post to list price. I also have a kegerator, chest freezer with a Johnson controller, 3 tap set up, 1 is a nitro tap, all Perlicks. 4 taps total. Everything is in great shape, although mash tun (Gatorade cooler) has some slight staining. Kegerator set up can be part of deal or sold separately.

Any help/suggestions appreciated.

Mike
