I brewed again-----FINALLY!

Post by Beer-lord »

So, last July I sort of retired, closed my retail shop, sold the property and moved to Mississippi. THough I'm still doing some work for awhile, due to all the crap going on selling the property, selling my house and moving, I've not brewed in a tad bit over a year.
Monday I fixed that and got a 6 gallon brew in. Mostly successful it appears so far and I'm looking forward to more in the future though being in a rural area, away from so many friends and family, I definitely won't brew as much because I can't drink it all. And the 2 new neighbors I've got to know here, drink the commercial, lite stuff so there's that.

It doesn't get easier to brew as you age either. But, I plan on most of the future brews to be in the 3-4 gallon amounts which make lifting things a bit easier.

:clink: Congrats! I know how it is when life gets in the way of hobbies! I'm working on getting my second batch planned on my new rig.

Awesome! I haven't stopped but.... only brewing 2-3 batches a year. This year, I've already done 3 batches, probably enough to last me the rest of the year but.... I do like different beers made for the season so.... maybe another one or two batches this year... IF my other hobbies allow.

Decided to get a water report now that I'm in a new area. It's not well water and it's a small water company and they have only sparse info available. Ward Labs came thru again. Looks like really good water though I'm likely to continue using my portable RO filter just because it's here. But, sooner or later, I'll do something with tap water just to see how it tastes.

It's good to see a little life on this forum again! I miss everyone.
