Greetings from the great State of Colorado where the skies are normally clear and the beer is tasty and cold!
I have been brewing for about 3 years now. I started with a batch of beer my neighbor brewed with me during a Memorial Day party while I was smoking over 20 pounds of pork, beef, and chicken.
Being a culinary trained chef in Paris, France, the art of brewing quickly overtook me. I spent months on end reading and brewing different recipes, along with drinking all my homebrew and finding new paths to enjoy beer along the way.
Within a year, I was a full blown member of the AHA (American Homebrewer's Association). I have been brewing and creating recipes along with researching recipes in hopes of brewing more in the future.
When I am not brewing or doing some kind of research for brewing, I am working as a Warehouse Manager for a Fire and Flood Mitigation company. When not at work, I am at home with my gorgeous wife and two children. Or you will find me geeking out over my Traeger, Kamado Joe, Blackstone Griddle, Pit Barrel Smoker, or my Gozney Pizza Oven. Working for an Ace Hardware in Denver, Colorado got me back into Barbequing and cooking in general. I know that sounds weird to say. But having gotten into the equipment at the store, much like beer brewing, I dove in head first and became a "executive chef" for the store.
Now when I do smoking demos for the store I spend the day before smoking a piece of meat for the customers so they can taste what I am cooking at the time of the demo. Since my smoking sessions take pretty much all day, homebrewing is the perfect time filler. And I get to enjoy continously cooking.
Some of my other hobbies include but are not limited to TTRPGs ((Table Top Role Playing Games) as a "Forever DM", playing Disc Golf, reading, writing, drinking whiskey, and of course drinking beer. Some of these even occur when I am cooking for family and friends.
Life is always in flux, particularly at this time as I am currently getting ready for a European Vacation, selling a house and moving to a house in the small down of Sedalia, CO in June. With all of these changes going on my beer brewing will be slowing down for a bit. But, I do currently have a Smoked Marzen that I am getting ready to bottle condition for the move into the new house. Yes I am insane but it is all so worth it. I look forward to posting and learing from you all in the times to come.
Feel free to reach out and let's chat over a homebrew.

Welcome. Feel free to ask any questions you have. Also feel free to chime in with advice (since you're clearly not a beginner).
I used to mostly answer questions, but now mostly ask them.

Welcome to the Borg! You my friend are a busy man! LOL It sounds like you have a pretty good handle on brewing and smoking things, it seems to be a natural cross over for many of us homebrewers. I'd be interested in hearing about some of your favorite recipes.
Worrying can spoil the taste of beer more then anything else! ~ Charles Papazian
