Our 29th Anniversary
funny how life is, i was stationed at ft benning('77-'78) my wife's from columbus ga. we went to the same clubs, skated at the same rink, bowled the same lanes, hung out at the same park every sun afternoon, weather permitting. we even swam at the same rock quarry. had to get stationed in germany 3 years later to meet her. where she joined me in my valiant, but ultimately futile, efforts in drinking germany dry. married her in '84, she's been my co pilot thru this world and, when needed, the voice of reason every since. 2 sons 1 daughter and now 4 grandsons.
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Re: Our 29th Anniversary
Congratulations indeed. And talk about a coincidence. You'll be married 29 years and I'll be 29 years old. We can celebrate together. Mind if I call you dad?
Re: Our 29th Anniversary
Hey Jim, T8r took the missus to Oregon to celebrate.
Shouldn't you be posting this from a pub in Germany?
Congrats to you both.

Re: Our 29th Anniversary
Congratulation to you Jim.
I met my wife in Germany also. A Mainzer Madel. It will be our 50th in two weeks.
Her landlord introduced me to her and over the years she has often mumbled to herself, in German, that she would love to go and find that landlord and give him a big hug around the neck.
My German has never been the greatest but I finally found out when loosely translated, that she wanted to go find him and choke his neck.
