A low-fill of Yazoo Sue bottled late 2012. A bit less smoky, and a bit fruity with age. Me likey...

BB2 and I checked in on the Christmas brews we did for our sister over the last few days.

Cherry Porter = awesome, this isn't a sweet beer it is just a very good Porter with a hint of cherry in flavor and aroma.

Pumpkin ale = very good but maybe should not have used all the seeds in the brew, very strong pumpkin and seed flavor but not as much of the spice, kind of heavy but good.

Texas Y'All Praline brown ale = well what can I say, it worked, tastes like a praline.

Orange Saison = absolutely spot on to the beer style guide lines.

We are totally happy with everyone of them.

My sister's comments alas were "eh" (didn't even mention the awesome job BB2 did on the labels, but she's like that).

Oh well, she got one big one but we get all the rest.

more than a few Sam Adams Rebel IPA.... Too bad this wasn't available elsewhere... it is a really nice hoppy IPA. This was fashioned after West Coast IPA's. Not too bitter, but big aroma and flavor. Gonna finish the night at home with a malty Vanilla Chocolate Stout.

Though not available in bottles, Old Chicago had it as an exclusive beer nationally for a while. I had some there when they had it... not bad at all...

Swenocha Cidre Normande. Exactly 1 year old. Wow, this is crazy good now. I was so-so on it on my last taste in July. Time did wonders for this...

had a friend over today to help brew. he hasn't brewed in over a year and forgot as much as he knew.... We commited.... as much as you can commit over a few beers... to get together and brew...whether once amonth or every other... but brew...

Back to the question... Tried to kill the keg of Vanilkla Chocolate Stout... I swear, every time I shook it, there was only 2 left...

I really want to hook up the Porter...

Easiest way to kill a keg is to bottle up what's left. :)

First pour of my Ye Olde Devil Nut Brown Ale paired with some Drunken Goat cheese and summer sausage. It's good!
