Greetings, Borg!

Post by snooze_button »

Greetings, BeerBorg! Glad I found you guys. I used to lurk on Ye Olde Site; I didn't chime in much but I learned TONS by reading about your exploits. In the past three years I've moved from straight-up Mr. Beer kits in the LBK, to extract & grain kits from the local homebrew stores, to BIAB recipes. I've got a little over two dozen batches under my belt; some excellent, some barely drinkable...but it's all been beer, and it's been progress. And I would have given up long ago if I hadn't read so many tips on the forums.

Tonight is a long-overdue Brew Night, and I'm going old-school with the Mr. Beer St. Patrick's Irish Stout. With some Carapils and dark DME added, because I can't leave well enough alone. Should be ready in time for the all-important March 17th.

Anyhow, I wanted to say "hello" to you all, along with a belated "thank you" for all of the wisdom of the Borg Collective in the past....looking forward to reading more here!

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
