Glad to see another brew sister join this happy band of brothers. There are a lot of small batch brewers here so you'll get any help you need.
Did you do an RCE on the old site? Registration is currently under way for a new Recipe Collaboration Exchange which is a great way to get away from HMEs and get more control of your small batch brewing.
Hope you are able to find time to join in on the many wonderful and entertaining discussions that make this forum so great.

I apologize for my ravings about how lame MR Beer is. I don't how often I will be posting. Baby keeps busy

Thanks for the post at mr. Beer, that got me here as well. I'm glad to find this site, was wondering where y'all were at.

I'm in the same boat with having young kids (not to mention a job that keeps me busy). I'd rather spend time with them than be on the internet, but when I do get time, I liked to check out mr. Beer community. I think I found my new hangout. I don't post a whole lot and go weeks without checking the site, but love that the site is doing well.

You all helped me so much in the past.

People don't seem to get my username, which makes sense, since I rarely do. But it is supposed to be: Oh..You-drank-one,too?

Brewing Gal wrote:Hi All,

Anyways I am done with Mr Beer. I found the Borg only because of the hidden links. I was a software developer. For the time being I want to stay with the small batches. So what do you guys recommend?

I apologize for my ravings about how lame MR Beer is. I don't how often I will be posting. Baby keeps busy
Posting under BrauGal (very clever - Brewing Gal / Brau Gal - never would have guessed) on the Mr. Beer forum and saying "just shows ya nobody wants this carp MR BEER SUCKS GO BORG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" on Monday evening AFTER you apologized on this forum for doing it isn't my idea of proper use of a forum, whether Mr. Beer's or anyone else's. You've got people all riled up over there, and people from this forum going over there to quiet things down, because you posted "Mr. Beer sucks" all over the forum at the beginning of the month. Pretty childish behavior for someone that's a parent, hopefully you can set a better example for you child in the future.

Perhaps you should apologize over there.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

+1... I'm all for new posters on either site, and welcome to you if you are truly wanting to contribute here or there... glad to have you if so. But based on what's been posted thus far, I don't see it very useful or productive to post 16 posts over there with the sole purpose of slamming the product sold at that site. That seems rather trollish to me, and I can't see how one would be surprised when those posts are deleted/purged...

   DOH :wow:

Those of us that don't visit the other site might be a tad bit confused and concerned by the direction this thread is taking.

Should this message not have been better hashed out in the form of PMs so as not to generate negativity for others who come along or those who eagerly welcome any new brewer in the spirit we typically present here?
