Dad's favorite
for my third batch of Mr Beer, I used the recipe at Mr Beer for the Dad's favorite cream ale but did not utilize the mr beer brewmax. I had a kit of patriot lager so I used 1 lb light lme instead of the brewmax. I boiled the lme and honey called for in the recipe for 15 minutes then removed from heat, added the hme and followed the mr beer instructions. I got the correct OG that was called for in the mr beer recipe so hopefully it will turn out ok.

The Pale LME called for in the recipe should be little different from the light LME you had. The difference is 8.8 ounces vs. a pound, so theoretically you should have come out higher on the OG, but Mr. Beer overstates ABV on their refills. It will be fine I'm sure.
