Re: What are you drinking?
Had an Unita "Hop Nosh" in a can. An unusual IPA for me. Not too bitter, almost a sweet fruity quality. The Aroma was unusual - crazy strong hop smell with almost a skunk quality. Not bad skunk, but weird. It was really good tasting and drinkable, just something about the aroma was slightly off puttiing. Didn't snap a pic so here is a webbie.

What is best in life?" "To crush your enemies -- See them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!"
Re: What are you drinking?
Now that I got the first 8" off the solar panels and the drive way, just in time for some sleet and freezing rain, I'm gonna go pour one of the last few Belgium Tripels I have. No more going on the roof today, maybe just the end of the driveway once the plows make their way back... The Tripels always seem to set in a bit more after a 2 hour strenuous workout...

Sacre Chat Dubbel. Just a tester bottle, but the flavor is nice, but lighter than I wanted. Maybe a small mashani-style pseudo decoction would help in a future batch.

A Brown English Ale
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
Edgar Allan Poe

Budweiser Project Twelve - Batch 94534 (Fairfield, CA)... Yes, I went there...
Saw on the Mix6 and couldn't resist. The same thing happened to me last year, though the one I liked best was not ultimately chosen for Black Crown (63118-St Louis was the best IMHO, but 90416-LA was chosen). Actually not bad. Sort of a tiny little baby IPL. Thin and watery, but some nice lemony hop flavor. Hilarious that a Bud VP in an interview warned of the bitterness of the hoppy, N.Pac style lager. "It will be hard to drink more than one." Umm, yeah... It's not that hoppy, dude. Well, I guess if you drink Bud, then this is over the top hoppy, but...
But, all being said, this is very drinkable. Reminds me of a session IPL. Not hopped to the level of an IPA by any means, but drinkable.

Re: What are you drinking?
Going to hold off on the third until a different evening, but here's the Batch 43229 (Columbus, OH)
Not terribly exciting and ultimately forgettable, but has some semblance of chocolate & cara malts. Pretty so-so. Better than a straight Bud, but there are plenty of other bocks and amber lagers that beat this by a bunch.

At least it has some color?!swenocha wrote:Going to hold off on the third until a different evening, but here's the Batch 43229 (Columbus, OH)
I'm drinking my unintentional Brett C Citra Saison. I'm drinking them all up as the brett is getting a lot stronger now and they are getting highly carbonated. Don't really want Orval strength funk nor exploding bottles 6 months down the road.
Re: What are you drinking?
Last night Home brew - had my first Lime Cervasa , will be a great summer beer.
Re: What are you drinking?
Going to try my latest attempt at a nice citrus style beer. But not till the 18th. I want to give it a month in the bottle.

Since I forgot to put one of my APA's in the fridge to see if they were ready, I guess I'll have to drink Thirsty Dogs Citra Dog IPA that is in the fridge!
