Of sorts, yes. It would allow dumping/collecting of the yeast in an easy fashion and allow you to dump the trub before packaging. Of course the spigot is above the trub level, but that would be a nice feature IMO.

My feeling is I want to be in glass. I know it's heavy, but I'm working my way around that. Also, being able to use a full size blow off tube is nice. I do like the looks of the clear BDC & I like the conical idea, but the big mouth bubbler is the winner so far from my experience as a home brewer. Cheers beer brothers & sisters.
