My New Dream System - KettleRIMS

Although you don't need a mash ton or other things to do BIAB, you still need the right sfuff to brew it right!

My New Dream System - KettleRIMS

Post by ScrewyBrewer »

I am so excited that I can still hardly believe the good news. Blichmann has innovated it's way right into my heart! Their new BrewEasy KettleRIMS brewing system is expected to be available in May 2014 in a 220 volt configuration. They also have at least half a dozen or so innovative new brewing gadgets along with their new KettleRIMS system that are definitely worth looking at too. Whether your ready to buy or just enjoy keeping up on the latest and greatest brewing gear available, you'll have to agree they've managed to provide some really interesting pieces of brewing equipment.

That looks nice, and spendy. I'm still fascinated by this system. I have an electrical engineer for a neighbor that is retiring in Jun and looking for something to occupy his time, guess what he's going to be doing? LOL

Sorry, not tryiing to hi-jack the thread, just showing another option.

I'd love one of those systems....I'm fearful of the cost.

A short follow up on my original post is in order, yep I was able to get a price and some details about the electric KettleRIMS system and I'm going to take a pass on this one. It's a proprietary design built from custom Blichmann parts that are both elegantly designed and really priced high. I'm drifting back to my first thoughts about the High Gravity 62 quart RIMS system that is a lot more affordable, as I get closer to pulling the trigger on this one I'll be posting about it in another thread.

If the Boil Coil and Kettle is a good price I could use that alone. My gas stove isn't working great, can't even get 5 gallons to a rolling boil....
Maybe I should try to adjust it somehow.

Here is the latest update I have on the K-RIMS system. John Blichmann wrote that while the electric K-RIMS kettle will begin shipping by the 25th of this month, the electric Tower of Power controller still doesn't have a firm availability date yet. I did however buy the 62 quart High Gravity RIMS system, just got tired of waiting for the K-RIMS and it was a bit too pricey for me after all.
