Re: What are you drinking?
I picked up some Lagunitas IPA Maximus yesterday. Real nice beer; high IBU, but also high ABV, so the malt mitigates the hops. Real good summer IPA.
I also got a sixer of Fat Tire from a friend in my bowling league who took a trip to Delaware recently and had the decency to ask before-hand if some of us wanted some Fat Tire (which isn't distributed around here, which is a CRIME!!!!).
Gonna have to reimburse that gal next Friday at our awards banquet, and give her a kiss, too. I can't tell you how much I needed a Fat
Tire or three this weekend. My work schedule, and the Hammering Fist of Life have both done a real number on The Hat this month.
But I have great craft brew, great homebrew, and barbecue to look forward to this weekend.
I should be almost human again by Tuesday......

Re: What are you drinking?
Trub bottle of my Amarillo IPK (IPL like beer made with Kolsch yeast). Less then 3 weeks in the bottle and not cold crashed, so it has some chill haze, but it's the bomb, and the non-trubby bottles will be wicked in a few weeks.
Re: What are you drinking?
I remember you posting about that one, cool. Now it makes me anxious for my Gumballhead clone to finish up.

Re: What are you drinking?
Glad to hear you enjoyed it, Swen! I need to get me one of those IPA glasses. I drink the pale ale regularly in a standard pint glass, but would love to see what the IPA glass does for it.
Re: What are you drinking?
While watching the Pacers/Heat game, I started with my Bourbon Barrel Porter, which was wonderful.
Now i am drinking an almost 2 year old St Patrick's Irish Stout. This was one of the two free refills that Mr Beer offered me to test when they had just been acquired by Coopers. I did not think it was very good to start with and it has only slightly improved with age. I thought it was time to reuse the bottle and I can't bring myself to pour out any drinkable beer. Actually as it warms up it is not too bad, just not one I would ever brew again without a healthy addition of DME and hops.

Pulled right off of the canning line this morning when the machine missed on putting the top on. What's that mean? Drink! #morningBeersAreTheBestBeers #especiallyWhenTheyAreOffTheLineFresh

Re: What are you drinking?
Trying to drink through a couple of my 'Wheat, not Rye?' brews from earlier this year.
This was the simple wheat base with about 25% Rye...
Nice and clear, a little over carbed yet...
Not a lot of head retention, a bit spicy due to the rye but other than that, rather 'flat' overall (pun intended).
Forget what hops I used... But probably something noble and at low levels as I was trying to assess the rye balance.
Probably need to change this one significantly if we dance again...
@ Swen, very cool!
