Re: BeerBorg User Map
Yep, it's a sticky already. But I imagine a lot of visitors do like I do, and use the "show new posts" feature without ever going into the sub-forums, so...out of sight, out of mind.

Re: BeerBorg User Map
It looks like Google has changed the interface, rendering my instructions above obsolete. Gee, what a shock - why leave things on the Internet the way they are, when you can change them constantly?!

Hey Borg! Does anyone have an idea as to why my pin is out in the Pacific Ocean?
I checked the zip code and it was correct, but it is a long way from sooner land.

Re: BeerBorg User Map
Because the zipcode is just the description of the marker, it could be anything, and any Yahoo with a Google account can edit the map. I fixed it.
Edit - The map had a bunch of errors on it. Now it says you need permission to edit it - something is definitely wrong with it. Will advise if/when I get access again.

Re: BeerBorg User Map
If it's messed up -- and locked -- it must be something Google did recently, cuz it was fine a week or two ago when I last looked at it.
Sorry...busy day/night today, gotta run now. But I will try to get it squared away some time tomorrow.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Re: BeerBorg User Map
It should be back to normal once CC can change the permissions. You did not, and will not need a Google account to view it, once that is fixed.

Should be fixed now. Nobody living in the ocean, either, from what I can see.

Works fine. I put a test in Wyoming, saved it, and re-entered, then deleted it.
Thanks CC.
