Another first time kegger here

Here is the same kit you are looking at, but from who I have gotten all my kegging supplies from. I can't say enough good things about them.

You might never be able to "buy once" though you would like to. I have This regulator with a 6 way manifold which is nice. I have one gauge set up to the manifold and carb all my beers to 2.3-2.5 volumes of CO2, the other gauge I have set up with a splitter and a gas and liquid disconnect on the line. The liquid is used to purge kegs before filling and the gas is used to purge the keg after filling.

If I were doing it again. Same regulator, but with Secondary Regulators so I could serve normal beers at 2.3, Saisons at 3.5, a regulator set to 2psi for bottling from the keg. Well you get the picture.

Edit: All the kits from Keg Connection come preassembled, just add a CO2 tank and beer.

How does this regulator from Midwest Supplies look? I think I would just need to add the correct connections and lines and I would have a 2 keg system that could carb one keg while serving from the other or serve at two different carbonation levels.

Both of those would do the same thing. Taprite is all I know so I cannot comment on The Governor regulators.
If you go to the "Choose Your Options" here, go to the first drop down menu "Regulator and Air Systems" and choose "Taprite Dual Body Regulator for 2 Faucet kit" it will come assembled with everything you're looking for. There is even a drop down menu to increase the beer line length.

Good people, good prices, good service is why all my kegging supplies have come from them. Well except for those Craigslist kegs that I found.

Thanks for your help. I should be covered for a while with this setup. Now all I have to do is drink the beer that I have on hand to make room a keg.

It looks as if the topics have been covered pretty well here. I just recently started kegging, and it seemed very mysterious and arcane to me, too, at first, but once I started putting things together, it all fell into place pretty much. Now I'm just adjusting myself to the new techniques and the waiting period.

Drawing a picture is the best advice you've gotten, IMO. It's the same as when my LHBS guy talked me through my supply list. He began at the CO2 tank and listed everything from there to the keg. If you do that, you won't miss any items, and it's easy to inventory.
