My dog hasn't been feeling well and the vet recommended chicken and rice for here upset stomac. Also gave us this link because it's easy on the digestive system.http://davidetassi.blogspot.com/2012/06 ... cipes.html

Good luck!

Dag, that is a fantastic idea that I hadn't considered!

Thanks guys! Tabasco, point taken about the hops!
I was reading about chicken too and it seems to be another of the easier proteins to get rid of as well as eggs.
It also might be a good time to consider changing the diet of the younger dog too.
She has a seizure problem and we've been switching foods around to see if it helps!

Both of these mutts eat anything that doesn't run faster than them!

You all have given me alot to consider and an extremely good start to my research and planning!
Thanks alot to each and every one of you! I'm very grateful!

I can vouch for chicken and rice, you can add a bit of yogurt to that after it's cooked too for pro-biotics. Easy to digest for sick dogs.

And also the canned pumpkin and green beans are good. Pumpkin is especially good for dogs with the runs. Beans are especially good for dogs that need to feel full but not gain wait.
