AC Golden Golden's Promise and AC Golden Peche 4

For those that don't know, AC Golden is the MillCoors experimental "brand incubator" that they run out of the old Coors pilot brewery. They started out doing more standard styles (but not standard to MillCoors) such as Vienna lagers, winter ales, German pilsners, etc. that are sold only in the Colorado market. In recent years they've moved into sour and funk brewing and have been quite successful. They normally serve these small batch beers on tap at taprooms and bars local to them, but they also make batches for festivals. These two were made specifically for the Yazoo Funk Fest this year, and I was fortunate to be able to snag a few leftover bottles at the end as part of my 'payment.' Both are great. Golden's Promise is a straight up sour done very nicely, while Peche 4 is all peach and stonefruit and subtle funk and tart.

If Coors wants to make beers like these, I'll give them some of my business...

I happen to like the way "other chucks" live :give: You are envied, my friend.

In sorting the beer fridge, I discovered a few beers from the Nashville meetup. Inky's sour was opened this week, as mentioned earlier, and I found the RIS. I also found a few of Jim Johnson's beers, and am drinking a very nice American wheat now. Unfortunately, though, Inky's Brett IPA decided to make a jump for it. The garage now smells of Brett IPA goodness, but none of it is in my belly. Thus, I must play taps for the fallen...

I got nothing ready so I p/u a couple sixes. Right now I'm drinking a Sierra Nevada "Kellerweis". Not to bad, for me it's a little to hop forward but it finishes nicely. Also got a 6 of Steam Beer. that'll be next.

Started with a PARISH Dr. Hoptagon and now on a PARISH Ghost In The Machine DIPA. Both have a little age on them so I bought a few more fresher ones last night. Defrosting the 2 mini fridges to hold all these goodies and to chill the Black IPA bottled on friday.

Life is rough sometimes but.....someone's got to do this....so I just showed a little bit of pro activeness. :jumpy:

My very last bottle of the sorachi ace/dandelion candi syrup/brett c infected saison. Which I found while digging through mystery boxes of hidden beer. So I'm pretty sure it's the very last one. Nowhere else to look.

I guess I have to go and pick more dandelions now.

It's a lovely beer if you like funky saison. It looks like this:

Well, since my pipeline is currently dry, I'm drinking Anchor Steam Beer and Bell's Two-Hearted Ale. You have to admit, I could do worse.

Fortunately, I've got my own South Ferry Steam Beer just about ready for consumption, and I'll be kegging a fiver of Crown Top Pale Ale this weekend, so the homebrew pipeline will be flowing again real soon.
