Sanitizer packets

I saw these in a local restaurant supply store. Has anyone used them or advise to avoid them. They come with 100 packs I can get them cheaper at the supply store but this is the first example of it I saw online. It says that they only last 50 days but I figure that I can use them as long as they smell like chlorine when I use them.

The "rinse free results" sounds good. The thing that catches my attention is "Glass Cleaning System". Do you intend to use it on plastic as well?

I was hoping to do both, but I will settle for the glass bottles, But as I was googleing this I found an article about using chlorine, sounds like they don't recomend it's use on plastic and maybe not at all.

I have used a weak bleach/vinegar solution as a sanitizer for both plastic and glass. There is a caveat NOT TO MIX THEM TOGETHER as they create chlorine gas. First add one and then the other to the water. Although I used it as a no-rinse, I did always allow any surfaces to air dry thoroughly, as in an hour or longer.

Star San is easier to use, but not available at your Supermarket.

I have star San but I am running out of oxyclean free, I was really looking for food safe liners for my ale pail to make cleanup easier and went down one of the isles and saw a case of the packets. http://www.foodgradebag.com/i/products. ... lon+Liners I saw this as one of the tips in my BYO mag a few months ago and had been meaning to look for them at this place b/c it is like 5 minutes from work and somedays I need out. But I don't need to order 1000 bags for fear of my wife smothering me with one when the other 999 bags are found by a 4 year old.
