Stone Thunderstruck

Post by Beer-lord »

Ok guys, you know I'm a Stone fan-boy....

So you know I'll be getting some to try out......sorry, I can't help the beerection and hoprection I get from most Stone beers.
Plus I like the music and love the bottle. Did he say, "Bitter, yeah, very bitter"? OK, that's my lifestyle.....BITTER!

When Mitch Steele says it is bitter that means it is going to remove some tooth enamel from us mere mortals.
The hops sound great and I love that it's just 2-row for the malt backbone.
My fear is that it is just crazy bitter and out of whack but I'll be trying it when I find it. And I love the artwork, as always.

I'm not a big ACDC fan but I LOVE this version. In fact, they do quite a few cover songs very well. Interesting stuff.

We may not have any water in California but I still have access to a lot of beer!

I picked this up today and will post a review in the appropriate section once it is tested. That could be tonight but it could be next weekend, too. We're heading out for a week so this may have to wait until I get back home.

I am also not much of an AC/DC fan, but this cover was the best I ever heard of it.

Best. Dessert. Ever.

Seriously, it's not the best beer but the ones I've had are damned good. I still think I'm more of an Enjoy By fan but I make sure every year I get 4-5 of these to get me thru.

ENJOY!

Stone Thunderstruck

Post by BlackDuck »

This might be one of the best Stone beers I've had. It's got just a small amount of the dankness that I usually get from a Stone beer. Then the amazing amount of hop flavor comes screaming out. It's not citrusy, but it's full of fruit flavor. It comes across as melon with maybe some stone fruit in there too. The aroma matches the flavor. Very tasty.

I've really enjoyed the Australian hops I've used so far. But I understand that all the ingredients are from Australia???
I'm in search of this beer here and hope to have it soon.
