My bike got a rear wheel flat 20 miles out. While fixing it my chain turned into a Gordian Knot. I could have figured out how to undo that a hella lot easier if I had some homebrew with me.

Good reasons.... BUT I'll have to add
A. I have Children.
B. I have Children, that have Children (love my grand kids) But.
C. I thought I was done with crying babies 25 years ago,
D. I guess it never ends. :)

Because when I weighed anchor today, it seemed rather heavy. I thought I was getting old, until I saw that it was fouled in a coil of old line, mud, and crabs.
Because my wife said that we had a "perfect day" on the boat, with all that that entails. ;)

I got into a little race (like a 7 mile time trial more or less) with some dudes on $8,000 aero carbon bikes wearing aero helmets and fancy cycling get up, on my old 2004 mostly aluminum framed (only carbon is seat post and fork) semi-aero Giant TRC that is probably worth only $650, and only because of my replaced/upgraded component set. Wearing my Beer Borg Shirt. And a very non-aero cheap ass Bell helmet. We were pushing 30mph on the false flats at times. They blew up before I did. The Borg wins.

Then I needed to take a shower... and drink a beer...

I would still like to have one of their bikes though. They were fancy.

Because I mowed my Moms lawn this morning and I'm over half way done mowing mine now. Both lawns are bigger then they should be, but I have a good sized JD lawn tractor.

This afternoon Liz, my beloved RAV4 with the pearlescent paint, V6, and AWD, was innocently sitting at the curb, minding her own business. The neighbor across the street has a steeply sloped driveway. His Ford F-150 slipped out of park, barreled down his drive and across the street and straight into
Liz. Her whole back end got shoved up on the sidewalk. She bravely took the hit, likely saving the front of the house. At least Wilma, my red Ford Ranger, got out of the way so I can go to work tomorrow. Neighbor felt bad but not as bad as me. I wanted to use bad words. Don't F-150's have a parking brake?!?!?!?

I think we need a "Waaaaaaaahhhhh!" smiley.

And though I certainly deserve a homebrew I can't have one because I have to catch up on paperwork for my job. Waaaaaahhhhh!

Ouch, very sorry about this alb. I hope he has insurance.
We're flat where I live but anytime I'm on a steep parking surface, I use the emergency brake too. At least no one was hurt so be thankful for that.
I hope it's a quick repair.

Sorry for your loss. I totaled a toyota corrola when my dodge d-50 rolled out of the driveway when I was under it working on it. The parking brake was broken

If you were here or I was there, I would personally give you a homebrew or 2

Sorry that happened, Amy. I hope your neighbor is a stand-up guy and foots the bill for any and all repairs.
