First Pour From My First Keg
Here it is folks. It's been on the gas since last Saturday and I couldn't wait anymore. This is the Simply Simarillo recipe from Beer-lord. Great recipe. Nice hop aroma and flavor. Recipe well written Paul.
On to the beer. It poured perfectly with a nice head, although I think it still needs a little more time to carb up as the beer itself is lightly carbed. Other than that, it's awesome.
I owe everyone here a big thank you. You have all helped answer a lot of my questions. From getting the equipment, to length of tap lines, to proper pressure, to proper temperature and so on. So...Thank You, the Borg rules.

Carbed enough for a nice, frothy head. Nothing wrong with that.
BTW, you're gonna need a bigger glass. That way you can honestly say, "I only had two."
Congrats on the kegerator.

Perfect pour. And being the first pour that is amazing. My first every session is usually a little foamy as my line up the tower needs to be chilled.

That looks like the face of a happy camper, congratulations Chris.

Congrats to ya, Chris. ENJOY!
I'm hoping one day to go the same route and I pity Paul when I do because I'll be calling and emailing him constantly. And probably by that time he'll start charging me.

Just take his gear and let him start over since he's familiar with how to get it up and running.RedBEERd wrote:Congrats to ya, Chris. ENJOY!

Yes indeed. that would be nice.
But I have to say, he's given me more stuff over the years for brewing than I can keep track of......so I guess I should just keep taking?
