A PM is how I got the BOTM to get going. I think a shout box would be hard to do.

A shout box would likely require either a plugin ($$$) or custom programming ($$$ and/or time), so I don't think that's likely, but depending on how flexible the forum software is, adding a forum (or subform) might be fairly straightforward. I'll ping Leigh on the possibility of adding a food forum and a forum for award winning recipes.
