Woke to find choco/coconut wee heavy, that was to be bottled this weekend, all over the counter. Third spigot failure (second with beer loss)... You'd think I would have learned by now. Sigh.
Good news though... what I salvaged into a taster tasted phenomenal. Double sigh...

Sorry to hear this. It happens too much.
I got rid of all mine though it's never happened to me.

I'm going to go ahead and bottle what's left, but I'm thinking it's well south of 1 gallon. If i get 3-4 bottles, I'd be surprised. ..

Well you got to save some of it! I am hanging on to one, it will be displayed somewhere in the brewpub, IF that dream comes to fruition!

Yes, we do cry over spilled beer. Sorry to hear it. I stopped using MrB fermenters, and when I use BrewDemon, I put the fermenter in a bucket. That doesn't save the beer, but it lessens the cleanup. I still love the concept, especially for beginners. I don't believe I'd be brewing if I hadn't started that way. Now even when I do small batches, I use an Ale Pail or carboy.

Sorry for your loss. I still use them due to space issues. They fit nicely in a large cooler during fermentation. I've not had a spigot leak yet, Knock on head.

Re: And with that, I shall retire the Mr. B fermenters...
I only have one left and I only use it as a bottling bucket on occasion. I mostly keg now and if I have a little left over to bottle it's usually only a couple so I bottle prime them.
I can't remember the last time I bottled a full batch, though.

Re: And with that, I shall retire the Mr. B fermenters...
Ironically, I hadn't used one in probably a year or more, and had rarely used them in the last few years prior. I use them as bottling buckets occasionally, but almost never as fermenters. Decided to do a small batch on this one, and got burnt... Of course, the one time I didn't put a tupperware container under it...
As a side note, apparently my fermenter of choice, Better Bottle, went out of business (or so says my LHBS). That's a bummer if true...

Yep Better Bottle went out about 6 months ago!

I just broke (over tightened) my original LBK this weekend. Saved the cider, though. I have one more still rocking for small batches and ciders.
I do enjoy my better bottle, and just ordered a new plastic carboy. What makes them better anyway?
You'd think we would have seen more sales when they went under!
